Spider-Man: Brand New Day has swung into the record books with one of the most impressive opening weekends in cinema history, amassing an estimated $927 million globally in just four days. This Marvel blockbuster, featuring Tom Holland as the iconic superhero, now ranks as the second-highest global opening ever, following only Avengers: Endgame, which set the benchmark with $1.2 billion in 2019.

In North America, Spider-Man: Brand New Day garnered $355 million during its debut weekend, narrowly missing the domestic record of $357.1 million held by Avengers: Endgame. On the international stage, the film accumulated $572 million from 66 markets, with China leading the charge at $121 million. The United Kingdom followed with $49 million, Mexico with $38.3 million, and South Korea contributing $25 million.

Several countries set new records for opening weekends with this latest Spider-Man installment. In India, it marked the largest-ever Hollywood opening, raking in $31.8 million. France added $26.6 million to the tally, Brazil came in with $23.8 million, and Spain generated $15.6 million. These figures have propelled the film past the initial performances of past Marvel hits like Spider-Man: No Way Home, which debuted with $600 million, and Avengers: Infinity War, which opened with $640 million worldwide.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day unfolds four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The narrative follows Peter Parker as he attempts to rebuild his life after the world forgets his true identity, all while facing a mysterious new adversary with the aid of some unexpected allies.

The film’s star-studded cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo, adding to the excitement and allure that has captivated audiences around the globe.
