Wrexham secured their first win of the Championship season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Millwall, raising their prospects of competing for a Premier League promotion. After beginning the season with draws against Cardiff and Watford and a loss to Birmingham at home, Wrexham made a strong comeback in south London.

The breakthrough for Wrexham came in the first half when Zak Sturge scored an own goal, deflecting Issa Kaboré’s cross into the Millwall net. Kieffer Moore extended the lead shortly after halftime with a powerful shot from around 20 yards out. Jacques Ekomié wrapped up the scoring with a close-range effort, ensuring a convincing win for Wrexham.

This defeat added to Millwall’s woes, as they have now conceded eight goals in their last two matches, a stark contrast to their season-opening consecutive clean-sheet victories. Their challenges were further exacerbated by injuries to key players, striker Josh Coburn and midfielder Casper De Norre.

In other Championship matches, QPR continued their strong start to the season with a 2-1 win over Cardiff at Loftus Road. Rumarn Burrell scored both of QPR’s goals, while Perry Ng managed to score for Cardiff. This victory brought QPR’s tally to 10 points from four matches.

Meanwhile, Burnley played to a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough at Turf Moor. Middlesbrough’s Aidan Morris scored first in the opening half, but Burnley’s Ugo Raghouber equalized soon after the break. Charlton also maintained their unbeaten run with a 1-1 draw against West Brom, where Callum Styles scored for West Brom before Tyreece Campbell equalized in the second half.
