Saudi Arabia has taken a step to bolster its diplomatic presence in West Africa as Yousef Al-Balawi, the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Nigeria, recently presented his credentials to the President of Benin, Romuald Wadagni. This move establishes Al-Balawi as the non-resident ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Benin.
During the credential presentation ceremony, Ambassador Al-Balawi conveyed heartfelt greetings from both King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s dedication to enhancing its relationship with Benin, underscoring the importance the Kingdom places on fostering bilateral ties in the region.
President Wadagni responded warmly to the ambassador’s appointment, expressing Benin’s eagerness to work closely with Saudi Arabia. He highlighted the mutual interests that both nations share, particularly in expanding diplomatic and economic cooperation across various sectors.
