Sanaa Counts its Dead as Israel Makes Good on ‘Heavy Price’ Vow

by admin477351

The Yemeni capital of Sanaa is counting its dead and wounded after Israel made good on its vow to make the Houthi rebels pay a “very heavy price” for their aggression. At least six people have been killed and 86 injured in a series of powerful Israeli airstrikes.

The vow came from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following a Houthi missile attack that, for the first time, used a cluster bomb warhead. The Israeli response was swift and brutal, with warplanes targeting key Houthi infrastructure and government sites across Sanaa.

Massive explosions rocked the city as a military compound, fuel depots, and power stations were hit. The bombardment was designed not just to retaliate but to serve as a stark warning of the destructive consequences of targeting Israel.

As rescue teams search through the rubble and hospitals struggle to treat the dozens of wounded, the reality of Netanyahu’s “heavy price” is being felt by the people on the ground in Yemen.
